I took notice that I use this blog more for venting out, speaking what's on my mind, and dealing with the struggles of everyday life. I don't speak enough about how my day went, the funny stories I hear, the people I'm with, and the happiness my life has brought me... never too late for anything =)
Vegas with GRV always seems to top itself every time we go. This time around wasn't any different. I loved every minute I was there and it was great to see some new faces coming along for the great adventure. Friday night the ladies and I enjoyed a nice fulfilling dinner at the Rio Buffet. Delicious! Although, I have to admit I only came to that buffet for the Amazonian Cocktail! Fortunately our quarters for the weekend was at the WYNN Hotel. Beautiful =). Of course Chels and Sean come running in last minute and changed quick status to go clubbing. LAVO at the Palazzo was that night's festivities. Free vodka for the ladies until 12am and that's how we got our boys to loosen up. =) This was followed by 2 straight shots of patron, which I commend them for taking and later found out I paid for hahah. OH my beautiful Jackie, dunzo by the 4th hour. She knocked out as she fell upon the softness of her pillows and blanket. The night was not completely over as we got a knock from hotel security saying we were being too loud. The party continued in the room till 5am. (For bert it was almost like 7am) Phrase of the night " Sup purple shirt!" Saturday morning/afternoon was filled with rest and relaxation poolside at the Wynn. This was followed by the Wynn Buffet and as a result, like always, minimal movement from every single person there. Food coma got all of us taking naps before getting ready for another crazy night. Risque at Paris gave us more room to dance the night away. $600 spent on about 30 shots of Patron for the whole group. Thanks Jeff =). We spent the rest of Sunday just walking around, dancing around, and drinking around. Thanks to everyone that went!
Monday, I went to the Incubus concert with the bestie and although I was fatigued from Vegas, this band sure knows how to pump my adrenaline. This band is one of the best bands to perform live. They played more old songs than new, which I was ecstatic about. Everyone and their moms was there.. but then again.. it's Incubus! Of course it's tradition that I find some vendor off the streets and buy a $10 shirt and luckily since we were in LA, Michelle and I were so tempted to buy a Dirty Dog!
Gyming it up at the Arcadia 24 Hr. I'm now stuck on this phase where I'm taking this whole gym thing seriously. Although I have to admit, I go there to watch the Food Network! I love that channel and it's on every other TV screen in the gym! Time flies when you watch the Food Network while working out. Of course being a girl, I can't help but notice the good looking people that work out. Envious but was at the same time motivated. Although I do think this one gym employee is kinda cute!
Friday, I went to see Harry Potter. I must admit the movie was very good and enjoyed it very much. Wish it wasn't so late at night because I found myself falling asleep about four times! At this point my lack of sleep was catching up to me.
Saturday, went to Huntington Dog Beach with the bestie, Calypso and Bow Wow. The weather was so beautiful! This is what California is all about! After, I got the nails did and massaged. The night gets interesting as I attend Bam's 21st Party at Josh's house. I just wanted to make an appearance because I wanted to avoid awkwardness altogether. Apparently my presence can drive people away sometimes. Enjoyed the company of those that mattered. Although I do have to say Asian Gangster people are really not that scary. =)
Sunday, spent the day with Thomas as we celebrated Abby's 4th Bday. Like always, the fam was there with lots of food and candy! Great time to catch up with everyone there! I realized how much I miss being a part of that family and all the great times I've had with them. Talked with Thomas for hours about everything life was throwing at us. I'm happy for the boy and I hope all goes well with him! We both realized how much our friendship has grown over the years and it's amazing to see that it's still there. I never thought we would reach this point in our lives that we can still go to his house, with his family, and catch up!
